Kuanyan H Franz, PT, DPT Clinical Rehab Manager, St Joseph Home Care Network
Kuanyan Franz is a physical therapist and Rehab Manager for Providence/St Joseph Home Care Network in Sonoma County. A graduate from Boston University, she has been a physical therapist for over 20 years with more than half her career dedicated to working with clients in home and community care settings. As an active member of the Falls Risk Reduction Committee at Providence, she is involved in bringing education related to fall prevention to her team of therapists as well as into the community.
Many older adults are not aware of their risk for falls, and many believe that falling is just a normal part of aging (surprise, it’s not!). In this presentation “Fall Prevention: Improving Your Fall Awareness” we will look at several fall risk factors and share suggestions/strategies on ways to minimize these risks. We will also share information on how home health plays a role in fall prevention.
